Area Vice President (Leadership) – Advanced Wound Care

Job Description

A $500M company within the Advanced Wound Care space is looking to hire a (remotely based) Area Vice President. There has been a recent merger, and investment/focus around the growth of their sales team that has fueled the creation of this position. 

This is an entrepreneurial build-out requiring the fine-tuning and scaling of existing processes. Up to this point, the CEO has been directly managing these responsibilities, but as the company grows, this role needs to be transitioned. In this role, you will build and lead a sales team focused on securing new business in designated territories. Initially, you will oversee three Area Regional Directors and 23 sales reps, with that number expected to continue growing. The focus is on optimizing onboarding, structuring knowledge transfer, and ensuring Salesforce and other tools drive ROI and scalability. The AVP will oversee management, coaching, and accountability, refine Salesforce, including training Directors, maintaining rep communication, and developing KOLs through industry engagement. Ultimately, this role ensures leaders are leading, processes are followed, and a scalable foundation for long-term success is established.

The reps sell regenerative wound care solutions to Podiatrists, Vascular, Home Health, Hospice, Dermatology, and Skilled Nursing Facilities, with a focus on Medicare B. Initially, reps will hunt for new accounts, shifting over time to deepening relationships within established accounts. In many ways, this is a “player/coach” role as Managers are encouraged to bring on 2-3 of their own accounts to stay closely connected with day-to-day client needs and challenges.

  • Tremendous Income: Our top sales rep will w2 $5.5M this year. There is significant earnings opportunity at both the rep and the manager level. 

Compensation and Benefits:

 

  • Salary + Commission:  The compensation package includes a salary + guarantee for 6 months of $225k + ½ a point on collections, for an OTE of $1M+.

Requirements

  • Must have recent experience leading teams of hunters that are calling on any of our call points: nursing homes, podiatry, vascular, mobile wound care, dermatology.
  • Must have managed managers and led high-performing teams. 
  • Strong understanding of Medicare Part B.
  • Must be able to travel up to 40-50%.
  • Must have a Bachelors Degree.
