Head of Business Development – Genomic / Startup / SaaS / AI / Machine Learning

Job Description

A fast-growing startup is looking to hire a Head of Business Development. They are a 30 person organization, selling game-changing technology in the Genomics space. 

This company is hiring 4 key roles in North America, with the Head of Business Development being their first. This person will be responsible for securing partnerships with Reagent companies, Sequencing partners, System integrators. The executive team has informal relationships with some potential partners, and this person will be tasked with formalizing those as well as bringing on new ones. Despite all our growth to date having achieved without a formal sales team; we have 1,700 active healthcare organizations across labs, genetic, clinical and data users on our platform.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in sales and business development across digital health, genomics or medical device sectors.
  • Must have experience selling SaaS in genomics. 
  • Comfortable working with different time zones. 
  • Connections with the genomics industry (reagents, sequencing, genetic counseling, system integration).
