Manager, Sales Development – High Growth SaaS startup

Job Description

A profitable, SaaS startup with 40% YoY growth is hiring its first Manager for the Sales Development team. They are pre-IPO with 110 employees, selling game-changing software to the healthcare space. In 2021 they acquired two of their main competitors, making them the largest solution provider of their kind in the healthcare industry. 

 

In this role, you will be leading a team of Sales Development Reps focused on new prospecting campaigns and outbound lead generation. The team currently consists of 2 SDRs, and you’ll grow this team to 5 or 6 reps by the end of the year. This is a very hands-on role, and will be both strategic and tactical. You’ll be tasked with growing the team, casting vision, creating cadences and individual growth plans, as well as training and developing. We want someone with a player/coach mentality who leads by example.

Requirements

 

  • 1+ years of experience managing business development or sales teams for a B2B software company. Plus prior sales experience as an individual contributor.

  • Strongly prefer experience building out sales strategies and processes, individual plans, call scripts, training processes, and hiring new team members. This is a new team, and we want someone who can help to quickly scale up!

  • Must be both strategic (cast vision, motivate, and develop) and tactical (lead by example, make calls alongside reps, player/coach mentality).

  • BA or BS required.
