A niche U.S. manufacturer of steel overlay plate and custom-fabricated solutions is looking for its first outside sales rep. This is a unique opportunity to step into a ground-floor role and shape the company’s sales strategy, process, and go-to-market function from scratch. You’ll sell to customers in mining, cement, aggregates, and heavy industry—while helping drive the next chapter of growth for a business with deep capabilities and a reputation for speed, quality, and American-made materials.

The Role
This is a full-cycle outside sales position focused on growing new business across the Central and Eastern U.S. You’ll target steel distributors, OEMs, and industrial end users, with a flexible mix of travel, remote work, and trade show participation. You’ll also be a key voice in developing marketing and lead generation efforts.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prospecting and closing new logos across mining, material handling, construction, and heavy industry
- Advising customers on custom solutions and technical options
- Managing distributor relationships and select repeat accounts
- Influencing sales tools, process, and go-to-market strategy

Requirements
- MUST HAVE 5+ years of industrial sales experience selling into aggregates, mining, cement, heavy industries, or forestry/pulp & paper industries
- Strong preference for background in steel, fabricated components, or wear parts
- Experience selling to distributors is a big plus
- Based in the Central or Eastern U.S.; comfortable with regional travel and 2–3 trade shows per year (full autonomy over your own travel schedule)
