Solution Architect / Sales Engineer – SaaS / AI / ML / Fintech / Startup

Job Description

A well-funded 150 person, fast-growing startup is hiring a Solution Architect. With a strong international presence, they just launched their US arm and are poised for tremendous growth. 


In this client facing position, you will be working in both a pre and post sales capacity. The main focus of this position is for this individual to demo the solution to new customers as well as architect/ customize it to meet the customer’s requirements during pre-sales and the integration process. Meaning, you will support the sales team in technical integrations to help close deals, and plan with customers’ tech teams for production-phase integrations. Some of the topics that could arise during integration are: security/encryption, batch / real-time data pipelines, and scalability. On the post sales side, this person will guide our global delivery team on technical issues faced during onboarding.

  • Experience in a customer-facing role as a Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer for enterprise customers.

  • Engineering or technical architecture experience.

  • Experience with architecting cloud-deployed data / ETL pipelines in any of the major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Familiarity with basic concepts in security and cloud-based networking, infrastructure, and software systems.

  • Experience with machine learning and data science preferred.

  • Programming / Scripting experience preferred.

  • Exposure to fraud/risk management and fraud analytics preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related area.

  • Past startup experience strongly preferred.

  • Must be able to come into the office in Salt Lake City 3 days a week.

  • Up to 25% travel to customers.
