National EPC Business Development Manager | Specification Sales
Job Description
Join a private equity-backed manufacturer of highly engineered flow control products that’s investing heavily in its commercial organization and expanding its national business development team. This individual will help establish and grow strategic relationships with leading Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) firms while driving product specifications on large industrial capital projects.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a consultative sales professional who enjoys specification selling, developing executive relationships, and influencing projects early in the engineering lifecycle.
In This Role, You Will:

Develop strategic relationships with major EPC firms throughout North America

Drive specification opportunities on industrial capital projects

Work closely with Process Engineers, Project Engineers, Procurement, Project Managers, Consultants, Contractors, and End Users

Sell highly engineered pressure regulators, control valves, pressure/vacuum relief vents, flame and detonation arrestors

Partner with internal Applications Engineering and Product Management teams to develop customer solutions

Manage long-cycle project opportunities from early specification through project execution

Travel approximately 50% throughout the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $130K-$150K

Success requires developing relationships within large EPC organizations, influencing specifications early in the project lifecycle, managing multiple stakeholders, and navigating long capital project sales cycles. Top performers are highly consultative, organized, and comfortable managing complex, multi-year opportunities.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of industrial sales experience
- Experience selling into EPC firms or specification-driven environments
- Experience with engineered products, valves, instrumentation, controls, automation, or industrial systems
- Experience managing long-cycle industrial projects
- Strong consultative selling and relationship development skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
