Job Description
A 40-year-old commercial HVAC company in Auburn Hills has grown to $6M on relationships and reputation alone. They just hired a new CEO, and the goal now is to build a real sales function from the ground up.

Here’s what makes this one interesting:
You’re not inheriting someone else’s process or trying to fix a sales organization that’s already set in its ways. You get to build it.
CRM, pipeline, sales playbooks, SOPs, team structure. You’ll have the freedom to put the right foundation in place, with direct access to a CEO who is personally sponsoring this initiative.
And you’re not starting from zero on the customer side. There’s a warm Rolodex of roughly 1,000 past customers to reconnect with and plenty of opportunity to build on relationships that already exist.
The company is also expanding into refrigeration, controls, and building management software, creating more ways to grow the business and your book of business.
And the commission? It’s tied directly to what you close. No cap.
Requirements
What they need: Someone who can be both the Hunter and the Builder.
✅ The Hunter: You’re comfortable getting out in the market, developing relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and closing business. You know how to build a pipeline and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and sell.
✅ The Builder: You can turn that sales activity into a repeatable process. You know how to build a CRM, establish playbooks and SOPs, and recruit, develop, and lead a sales team as the business grows. Commercial HVAC experience is a plus, but not required if you bring the right sales leadership and process-building experience.
This is a player-coach role. They need someone who can win business personally while building the team and sales function to keep growing beyond them.
If you like the idea of building something from the ground up, having real ownership, and being rewarded for the business you bring in, I’d love to connect
