Job Description

Principal Sales Consultant role with a specialized IT consulting firm delivering advanced network architecture, cybersecurity, and hybrid cloud transformation solutions to public sector and commercial clients.

We are looking for a consultative, services-led seller to help drive new client acquisition within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market. This is a net-new hunting role with high autonomy, focused on building relationships, shaping complex IT solutions, and expanding the firm’s presence across public safety, education, and local government accounts.

  • 20+ years of success supporting DHS, state/local governments, and education systems

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $125K–$140K base salary + 15% commission with accelerators
  • $40K non-recoverable draw (first 6 months)
  • $250K+ OTE achievable

Requirements

 

  • 5-8+ years of consultative IT or public sector sales experience
  • Proven success in hunting and closing complex services-led deals
  • Familiarity with government procurement, pricing, and teaming structures
  • Strong network within SLED CIO, CISO, and procurement leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to travel
