Regional Sales Manager (Industrial Adhesives) – Established UK Manufacturer

Job Description

A profitable, family-owned UK industrial adhesives and sealants manufacturer is investing in its U.S. expansion by hiring a Regional Sales Manager to grow its footprint across a range of specialized manufacturing markets.

Historically an on-and-off U.S. presence for the past decade, the company has made a significant investment over the past five years to grow its American footprint, with strong growth across markets like aircraft seating, cleanrooms, and artificial turf. This hire will develop new business in markets where the company already has a presence, leveraging its existing customer base and deep technical expertise.

  • Growth: 40-year-old UK parent company, family-owned and privately held since 1985. U.S. revenue has grown from $4M to $10M, with 23% growth last year.

  • Impact: Nationwide territory with no redline or account restrictions, ideally based on the East Coast with a preference for North Carolina.

  • Approach: Highly consultative, technical sale — this company becomes a technical partner to the customer, not simply another adhesive supplier, backed by in-house testing and engineering support.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary $120K–$140K, with OTE of ~$200K–$260K (Uncapped Commissions — 10% of gross profit, paid monthly).

  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

  • 401(k) with company match.

  • 15 days PTO, plus 2 additional paid days around Thanksgiving and Christmas, including company shutdown time.

  • Company card provided for business travel expenses.

  • Car allowance: $500–$1,000/month, depending on region.

Requirements

  • Background in industrial adhesive sales required — experience with liquid adhesives is a plus, and hot melt or distributor-model experience is also welcome.

  • Direct experience selling finished adhesive products to end users — raw materials sales into adhesive manufacturers, medical adhesives, and tape products are not a fit for this role.

  • Especially interested in candidates currently with larger organizations looking for the opportunity to make a bigger impact at a smaller, fast-growing company.

  • Highly consultative approach — comfortable getting in front of customers, understanding their manufacturing process, and solving problems before they occur, not just sending product information.

  • Comfortable in a lean, hands-on, all-hands-on-deck organization with high visibility and very little bureaucracy.

  • Willing to travel approximately 25–50% (potentially up to 60%), organized geographically, plus roughly four trade shows/conferences per year.
