Senior Solution Engineer—Enterprise AI Readiness / Microsoft Data Governance
Job Description
A publicly traded SaaS company sitting at the center of enterprise AI readiness, Microsoft 365 data governance, and cloud data protection is hiring two Senior Solution Engineers in Los Angeles.
This is a Western U.S. enterprise SE role supporting large, strategic accounts where security, permissions, governance, resilience, and AI readiness are becoming urgent priorities. The company supports 28,000+ customers and works with roughly 40% of the Fortune 500.
Why this role stands out
- Career runway: The Western U.S. SE team is expected to grow significantly, and the company has a strong internal mobility culture.
- Right market, right timing: AI has made data governance, security, permissions, access, and resilience a must-have across the enterprise.
- Enterprise credibility: Customers include JPMorgan, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Sony, Sempra Energy, Freeport Mining, Progressive Insurance, and Big Four firms.
- Strategic SE role: This is not narrow demo support; you’ll help shape technical strategy, map stakeholders, identify risk, and guide broader platform adoption.
- Platform breadth: The platform spans data protection, governance, compliance, resilience, security, migration, and AI readiness.
- Flexibility with purpose: Hybrid expectation is typically 1–2 days/week in the Marina del Rey office, focused on meaningful collaboration rather than badge-scanning.
Location & travel
Los Angeles / Marina del Rey hybrid role. Travel is light, generally a couple of trips per quarter, and travel expenses are reimbursed.
Compensation & benefits
- Base: $140K–$180K.
- OTE: Approximately $196K–$252K at plan, with variable at approximately 40% of base and uncapped.
- Equity / ESPP: Employee Stock Purchase Program allows employees to purchase stock at a 15% discount with a lookback feature.
- Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, unlimited PTO, 401(k) with 50% match up to 6% of contributions, HSA employer contribution on eligible plans, tuition reimbursement, fully employer-funded parental leave, commuter benefits, employee recognition/referral programs, and travel reimbursement.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead technical discovery, tailored demos, and solution presentations for enterprise customers and prospects.
- Partner closely with AEs to map stakeholders, shape account strategy, and move complex opportunities forward.
- Support RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, SOWs, and other technical sales materials.
- Engage with Microsoft 365 admins, collaboration leaders, information security teams, AI leaders, enterprise architects, and other technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Senior SE / Solution Engineer / Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer with experience in data security, resiliency, governance, compliance, backup, data protection, or adjacent enterprise SaaS.
- Strong Microsoft ecosystem knowledge, especially Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Purview, Copilot, governance, identity, security, and AI readiness.
- Comfortable running technical demos for large enterprise customers, ideally 5,000+ user environments.
- Strong balance of sales acumen and technical credibility—polished enough for enterprise stakeholders, but hands-on enough to configure solutions and build deep technical demos.
