Vice President of Sales — West (AI-Driven Network Automation Platform)
Job Description
Location: U.S. – West Coast or Mountain Time Zone (Remote/Field-Based) • Comp: Six-figure base to double at OTE — $400K–$450K+, uncapped + equity + full benefits
We’re partnering with a category-leading, AI-driven network automation platform trusted by a third of the Fortune 500 — Capital One, AT&T, British Telecom, Delta, Boeing, Merck, Visa, Deloitte, and CVS among them. Category leader in a market conservatively sized at $10B+ TAM — with some estimates as high as $50B as the category matures — and no single competitor doing what they do end-to-end.
Backed by fresh growth capital ($750M valuation, no debt, cash-flow positive, ~$100M+ ARR) and a new CEO and CRO building out the sales org, the company is scaling its enterprise sales organization across the US.
Why This Role Stands Out
-
#1 in its category by tenure, size, capabilities, and quality — competing in a ~$30B and growing market with no single competitor doing what they do end-to-end.
-
Fresh growth capital ($750M valuation, no debt, cash-flow positive, ~$100M+ ARR) and a new CEO and CRO actively building out a world-class enterprise sales org.
-
Customized, competitive six-figure base built to double at OTE — $400K–$450K+, uncapped with strong accelerators, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
-
Ground-floor opportunity to build. Today it’s a team of direct Strategic AEs, but the region is set to grow significantly as the company scales behind fresh growth capital.
-
True people-leadership seat reporting directly to the CRO — not a player-coach role.
-
Up to 30% travel, mostly 1–2 night regional trips.
What You’ll Own
-
Full accountability for revenue growth across the West Coast and Mountain time zone.
-
Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a team of roughly 7–8 direct enterprise reps, with dedicated Sales Engineer and channel partner support.
-
Own the regional large-account strategy, personally engaging C-level and senior IT leadership on complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
-
Define and execute the West regional go-to-market plan, including territory/account priorities and quota allocation.
-
Own pipeline health and forecast accuracy, delivering regular business reviews to the CRO.
-
Co-sell with channel partners, VARs, and systems integrators to maximize regional coverage and manage the region’s sales budget.
Requirements
-
10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including 5+ years in sales leadership (VP/RVP or equivalent) managing a large-account team.
-
Experience leading both individual reps and first/second-line managers — a true “leader of leaders.”
-
Deep experience selling complex enterprise subscription/SaaS solutions, with six- to seven-figure deal experience.
-
Experience working with or through channel partners and VARs to generate and close enterprise pipeline.
-
Background in computer networking, network management, or enterprise IT infrastructure strongly preferred.
-
Based in the Western US (West Coast or Mountain time zone).
