Best Sales Manager and VP of Sales Recruiters (2026)

(aka Best Sales Management Recruiting Firms, Best VP of Sales Recruiting Firms)

(2026 Transparent Rankings)

Hiring a sales leader is one of the most important decisions a company can make. The right hire can improve rep performance, strengthen culture, and accelerate revenue growth. The wrong hire can stall momentum for years. To help companies hire better sales leaders, we conducted research to identify and rank the best Sales Manager and VP of Sales recruiting firms in the US and Canada.

If you’ve read our Best Sales Recruiting Firms post, you know the methodology we use to rank recruiting firms: transparent, 3rd party validated, reproducible, and fair. We show our math, and we score ourselves by the same rules as everyone else.

Disclosure: We’re Sales Talent Inc. We appear in this list, and we’re scored using the same formula.

Why a Sales Manager and VP of Sales-Only List?

Hiring sales leaders — whether front-line managers or VP-level executives — is fundamentally different from hiring Individual Contributors. The stakes are higher, the search is harder, and the wrong hire compounds downward through the entire team.

Front-line Sales Managers (SDR Managers, AE Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales Managers) require a specific screen: coaching DNA, deal and pipeline inspection, forecast hygiene, hiring bar, and the ability to turn average reps into quota hitters. A weak manager doesn’t just underperform — they lose your best reps.

VP of Sales and Senior Sales Leadership (Director of Sales, Head of Sales, VP of Sales, CRO) require a different evaluation entirely. You’re assessing strategic vision, board-level communication, comp plan design, territory architecture, and the ability to build a repeatable revenue motion from scratch or scale one that already exists. These are high-consequence hires, with an average time-to-productivity of 6–9 months, and a miss costs 12–18 months of runway.

The firms on this list routinely place front-line managers through VP of Sales and CRO-level leaders across North America. Whether you’re backfilling a first-line manager or upgrading your entire commercial leadership team, the methodology and scoring criteria are the same.

How We Built the Candidate Pool

To compile this list, we started by identifying 39 sales recruiting and executive search firms that actively recruit for Sales Manager and VP of Sales roles.

We built this initial list using a combination of:

  • Google search results. We pulled the first 3 pages of companies listed for sales leadership recruiting firms.
  • ChatGPT-assisted research. We asked Chat to build a list of 20 Best VP and Sales Manager Recruiters to surface additional firms commonly associated with sales management placements.

You can view the complete list of 39 companies.

How We Ranked the Best Sales Manager and VP of Sales Recruiters

Each firm was scored using the same methodology we used in our Best Sales Recruiting Firms blog:

Glassdoor rating + G2 rating = Total score (out of 10)

  • No subjective adjustments.
  • No bonuses for firm size or brand recognition.
  • If a firm had no G2 reviews, its G2 score was set to 0.

Why Glassdoor + G2?

  • Glassdoor matters because it reflects an agency’s culture and its ability to attract and retain elite recruiters—you don’t land elite sales managers and VPs without them. It also gives a view into how well-run a recruiting firm is.
  • G2 is the world’s largest B2B software and services review platform. Its independent reviews serve as a trusted third-party standard for comparing recruiting firms and their customer experience.

This approach keeps the rankings simple, transparent, and consistent across all of our “Best Of” recruiting lists.

Why Some Firms Didn’t Make the Ranked List

Two reasons: (1) missing one side of the public data (no G2 or no Glassdoor), or (2) weak satisfaction signals relative to peers. The standard is the same for everyone—including us. If a company can’t prove that they’re one of the best, they don’t belong on this list. As additional G2 profiles go live (or as ratings change), we’ll recalculate and update.
